The Division of Rheumatology and Immunology provides basic care in internal medicine for patients in Graz and the surrounding area, looks after special rheumatology patients in southern Austria and represents the subspecialty rheumatology and clinical immunology in research and teaching. It is where students and physicians receive training they need to become specialists in internal medicine and rheumatology or specialists in clinical immunology.
We reveal to students the fascinating world of immunological disease in all its clinical diversity and scientific depth. Our diploma and dissertation students recognize and expand the current state of knowledge in clinical research and our research laboratory. Our research focuses on translational T-cell research, imaging and innovative care for patients with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and Sjögren's syndrome.
